Ireland has just opened a new document portal for research: National Portal of Open Access to Research, called RIAN ("the Irish word for path").
question is how to use this potentially very valuable resource - a first test is inconclusive (search: "Beckett", number of publications obtained: 1; search: "postcolonial", number obtained, 6). It will include probably known imbalances between disciplines (hard sciences / sciences "flexible" - clever phrase, found on a banner which was suspended in Building Research, D, Paris 8, last June).
